Where we operate
Ireland at 1 km today; Europe and the US in preview at ~2 km, moving to 1 km area by area. A place outside every live area gets an honest "not in your area yet" — never an empty map.

1 km vs ~2 km — what the number means
The grid cell the forecast is computed on. Ireland runs on the native Met Éireann field at 1 km. The continental previews are computed on a 2 km grid for now, so a shower's edge is placed within about 2 km rather than 1. Each area moves to 1 km when it launches properly — with its own hindcast gate and published accuracyfirst. Forecasts are always 5-minute steps to 60 minutes ahead, for every area.
